Is Penning regulated?

Yes. Penning is registered as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) with Finanstilsynet, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, and operates under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. Our services are available to clients across the EU.

Which currencies can I use?

You can buy and sell crypto in Euro (EUR) and Danish krone (DKK). Settlement is processed via SEPA for euro transfers and Danish bank rails for DKK.

How many tokens and networks do you support?

Penning supports 190+ tokens across 28+ networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TRON, Cosmos, Polkadot, Avalanche, Cardano, Litecoin, BNB Smart Chain, NEAR, and Tezos. If you need an asset we don't list, our OTC desk can source it under a custom mandate.

Where is my crypto held?

In your own wallet. Penning is a brokerage and doesn't hold client crypto — we broker the trade and deliver the assets directly to a wallet you control, so you retain full ownership at all times.

How do I get started?

Three steps: choose your account type (individual or business), complete the KYC process, and place your first buy or sell order. Most retail clients are onboarded within one business day.

Who do I contact for help?

Every broker-desk client gets one-to-one access to a named broker. For new accounts, contact Jimmie Steinbeck, Head of Broker Desk, who will personally walk you through the setup and answer any questions.

What does it cost to buy or sell?

One flat 2% fee on every order — no hidden spread and no bank fees. Network fees are passed through at cost, never marked up. Very large orders can be negotiated one-to-one on our OTC desk.

Do you report my tax to SKAT?
